Park Picnic

Today we went to my dad's company picnic in Camarillo. It was AMAZING! There were booths of games, free food, and balloon animal making. We took the pups and they had a blast! The best part was the raffle! We won a nice Malibu Rum bar, a mini football charcoal grill, a SoCo large patio umbrella, and so much more!
The pups were EXHAUSTED after a full afternoon in the sun! They loved all the kids and attention. There was a moment were Mochi slipped out of his collar and gave me a HEART ATTACK! Good thing Presley was there to save the day! It was nice to see that girl again!

The Beginning of my Real Estate Adventure

You always here about wealthy people and their investments in Real Estate. It's a GOOD idea! My boyfriend has always been a motivated and driven, business minded guy. I have been observing and learning over these past few years and now I'm ready to dive into the real estate market!

I went to a meeting this weekend for the Real Estate Investors Club of LA. I walked into the meeting with VERY little knowledge of real estate. Yes, I felt thrown off by the jargon and even felt myself nodding off for a split second or two. I stuck through the 3 hour meeting and walked away with a spark of passion for what opportunities are present in real estate.

The speaker was a man named David Bartels. He has an amazing outlook on real estate and prides himself with ALWAYS making deals where the homeowner is ALWAYS presented with their best option. He's going to be my go-to man when I find some properties for now.

I started making a list of things I need to do and am hoping that this is a promising adventure!

The 700 Club

I was flipping channels the other day and didn't see much to watch. I turned the tv to ABC family since there was 15 minutes til Gilmore Girls. (Yes, I like that show...but mostly only the newest episodes because I like to admire Rory's dresses) Anyways, the 700 Club was on and that man made me so mad!

There was a questions from a viewer that was talking about how her relationship with her fiance is wonderful; however she is a devout Catholic and her fiance is an atheist. She wanted to know if the differences in their beliefs would harm their relationship down the road.

The host (I'm sorry I do not know his name) of the show said that he does not believe this relationship will ever work because if her fiance does not worship God than he worships the DEVIL! This is not a fair comment!!!!

I am not a very religious person. Religion in general confuses me and I have a hard time believing whole-heartedly in any particular religion. I'm not educated massively on worldwide religion but I have taken a few religion classes, I've been to many Buddhist seminars, and I try to read the Bible and extract as much information that I can... I just try to be the best person I know how to be. I do not "worship" God but that certainly does not mean I worship the Devil! I'm so confused by religion in general and I did not like that 700 man's comment at all!

Any thought about this?!

I Think I Can, I Think I Can

In my life at this very moment I have so much going on it's funny actually!

Firstly, I am almost done with school! I have 4 finals to study for, 3 major papers to finish, and 3 smaller projects that are easy, but time consuming. I'm about the graduate which is exciting. I'm excited to be welcomed into the new world as a graduate.

Next, I quit Islands and will start working at California Pizza Kitchen very shortly!!!! AHHH! I'm so excited. This is a huge deal for me... Islands has been my home for the past six years! It's time to more on... it's going to be fantastic!

Uhm... Amber is packing all her things and taking her kiddies with her to IDAHO! All the fabric business will be handled by me... alone. There hasn't been much action lately, but I'm sure it'll pick up! I'm so sad about this.

SwirlyDesigns will hopefully have some metal stamping stuff up soon! I've been practicing... I love it.

Steven and I started a garden! We planted tomatoes, jalapenos, snow peas, and carrots! I can't wait for them to start sprouting. I commonly go in and out of gardening phases, but I'm pretty sure I'll stick with this project! I call the seeds my babies!

These are major transitions in my life! I'm so stressed and at the same time so anxious! I can't wait to be finished with finals and start my new job!!!

This week...

SO I have an 8 page term paper due Wednesday! I've been procrastinating from about 12 weeks! We were assigned the paper the first day of school. I'm lacking major motivation. I have, however, completed 90% of the research, made a rough skeletal outline, and completed the intro paragraph. After this paper is finished I only have about 1,978,472 other school assignments to complete within the next 3 weeks!

Other than the lame-O school stuff... Can you tell I'm waaaaayyy ready to graduate?!

... Thursday will be a fun day! I'm getting my hair a much need trim and color revamp! woo hoo! I've been feeling so BLAH about my hair. Then I'm having dinner with my grandma. I'm excited for that!

Saturday is Dusty and Heather's wedding in Fresno. They're just the cutest couple ever! I'm excited to see Steven's family plus I LOVE weddings. They're always so charming and elegant and I can't wait til the day I get married! I have a super cute dress for the wedding and I haven't worn it yet. It's hanging in plastic in my closet just awaiting me.

The puppies are happy to be home it appears. I love waking up surrounded by them. The other day I awoke to Russell on my head! I'm sure they're loving the heat as well!

Next Monday is my second interview with a new job option. If that doesn't work out I found a cool reading teaching thing I could apply for. The money was good, but the hours and the distance is not. Either way ... will I be at Islands this summer? I'm not so sure about that. It's time to get a move on while I can. I didn't go to college for five years to have the same job I got when I was in high school! Ahh! Thinking about it makes me soooo turned off.

"Luckiness"

That's what you call it! This is my favorite picture of us! (I thought it was about time something other than the puppies were up here!)

It says a lot about who we are ... casual, silly, outdoor-sy, in love. We were skating at Venice Beach. And this is my other favorite!!! We were on Princess Cruise ship on the way to MEXICO!! Oh man, that was such a fun week! (And I love my hair in this picture as well)

Last night Steven and I made dinner for my family! That makes two nights in a row! The night before we made delicious meatball sanwiches. Last night we had rice, grilled asparagus, and 2 types a chicken! I made buffalo chicken. And Steven made a special "everything you could find in the cabinet" chicken. It was so yummy! I wish I had pictures to show you! After dinner we watched The Tale of Desperaux. Overall, it was cute; however, a little odd. Dreamworks is putting their own spin on fairytales... which is cool (I love Shrek) but Despereaux might take some getting used to. I love the Disney version of fairy tales... because of their happy endings and dream-like worlds, yet those too have some down falls. ehh.. Can't win them all!

I love Steven and our movie nights! I had to post this picture too! Last year Steven wanted to share his love of flying airplanes with me. We went to Santa Paula and I learned how to fly a Cessna!!

Come Home....

For a over a year now the puppies have been rotating houses. The puppies stay two weeks with me and two weeks over there (with Jeff an ex of mine). They have been gone for 11 days now and I will pick them up on Saturday!

They need to come home!! We have so much fun together going to the dog park, the turtle park, and long walks! In the next two weeks I'm hoping the weather is nice so we can go to the beach; however, we are definitely going fishing at Castaic Lake! yay! Russell and Mochi will love it!!!

I set up a new toy area for Mochi! It's a plastic bag container that I bought from IKEA! I drilled it (well, when I say "I"... I actually mean my Steven Boyfriend) ... drilled it to the wall near the floor. My Mochi will be able to get some toys out... but some he won't and this contraption will keep him occupied for quite some time! I will post pictures of Mochi playing when he returns!
